Hallie's First Thanksgiving

We flew down to spend Thanksgiving with Reed's parents in Ft. Walton. Hallie flew well and we have been having fun visiting with family!

Well, I haven't posted in a while...I have been super busy with Hallie and I started work! Here are some photos of Hallie at Reed's office party.

Reed found this pink camo hat for Hallie that we tried to put on her for our walk around the neighborhood yesterday. I thought she looked so cute I had to have a picture!

Hallie's visit with her cousin Bentley

Ashley (Reed's sister) and Bentley came to visit us and play with Hallie. Hallie is wearing her bunny slippers from Bentley. They also informed us that Ashley is pregnant with baby number 3! We are so excited!!

Week 5

Wow! The first few weeks were pretty intense and I now think I am getting the hang of being a mom. Hallie is settling into more of a routine, well sort of, at least she is sleeping for 5-6 hour stretches at night so that we can get some more sleep! We had her one-month check up last Thursday and she is already 8 lbs 6 ozs and healthy! Her Gramby will be here tomorrow to help out for a couple of weeks and we can't wait! Hallie is becoming more and more alert during the day and LOVES being held, so the extra help will be wonderful!

Week 3

We are still getting adjusted to life with Hallie. Reed is wonderful with her and helps me a ton when he is home. This past week he was out of town for work and wouldn't you know it we had a bad storm and a neighbor's tree knocked out our power for 24 hours! Hallie and I made it through the night with candles and flashlights! As you can see, Hallie loves her Daddy!

Hallie Raye Nelson - August 2, 2007

We welcomed Hallie Raye Nelson on August 2, 2007 at 2:40 AM. She weighed 6 lbs 7 ozs and was 20 inches long.

I have been very delinquent in my postings but will now update you on Hallie's arrival! My last month of pregnancy was very busy! I spent most of it trying to get everything ready for the baby's arrival! Here is a picture of me in our backyard on July 30, 2 days before I went into labor. I planned to be induced the morning of Thursday August 2 but Hallie decided to come a little earlier. Luckily mom, dad and Ashley were able to change their tickets and arrive at the hospital in time to welcome Hallie! Dan and Bobbi made it to Richmond the day she was born and were able to see us in the hospital too!

Week 36

Well, not much longer to go! I am definitely very tired and uncomfortable. Doctor's visit last Friday said I am 50% effaced and 1 cm dialated and thinks the babe will come early. Hopefully not too early! We are still getting the nursery and house together but will be ready soon!

I have promised to post some photos of me prego. This is one Reed took of me when I was about 24 weeks while we were in the Keys.

Week 25

Well, Reed and I have been making the most out of remaining time before the baby arrives. We have been down to Jacksonville to visit and participate in my nephew Thomas' christening over Easter weekend, to a beautiful wedding in Dallas for our good friends Kim and Jim, and to Islamorada for a mini-vacation. While down in Jacksonville, Dad's sonographer, Gail, was sweet enough to do a 3D scan on me. Although I was a little early (22 weeks) for the 3D to work, I have posted the sonographs. The baby was a little over a pound in these pictures. More soon!

It's a Girl!!

Today we saw the doctor and had my 20 week ultrasound! The doctor says everything looks fine and the baby is measuring properly. We found out we are having a baby girl and couldn't be more excited!!! These are some pictures from the ultrasound!

Well, the bean is definitely growing and so am I! I am about 18 weeks along and we go in for my 20 week ultrasound on March 28th. I think I have convinced Reed that we should find out the sex of the bean! I am feeling good still but growing more each day...
